Life is lifin’
Listened to some Stone Temple Pilots today. I haven’t done that in well over 20 years.
Kinda hits different now.
It’s strange how a song can just fold time in half. For a few minutes I was right back there… younger, figuring things out, feeling everything so intensely, with no idea where life was going to take me.
Back then the songs were just the soundtrack. Now I hear the years between the notes. The people I’ve lost. The versions of myself I’ve outgrown. The memories I didn’t even realize were still tucked away somewhere.
Funny how music does that. It doesn’t just remind you who you were … it shows you how far you’ve traveled.
Still a little messy. Still figuring things out. Just with a few more miles and a lot more perspective.
